  • Do not allow yourself to focus all of your budget on the camera. The image is a critical aspect of production value but it should not come at the cost of other equally important elements.
  • An enormous amount of production value can be delivered in the sound track of the film for very little money. Putting major focus and attention here will make the difference between pro and amateur.
  • The quality of the image is critical but no DP can deliver a perfect shot. The image will always be greatly enhanced by color correction and this is an easy and sure way to deliver production value.
  • It doesn't matter if your production looks like a production. All that matters is what appears on the screen. Spend your money so that it shows up on the screen.
